Well, having finished “Marketing with Alex”, I can now reflect on the whole process.

I originally signed up because somebody I trusted recommended him very highly and that was that! Trust is at the heart of everything that is good about the internet, and Alex certainly seems to be the real deal.

All live calls (there is a minimum of one per week) were over-delivered in such a way as to make them well worth while. In addition, the starting point was “Forward to Basics” which was certainly worth the effort as it opened my eyes as to how I have some way to go in relation to goal setting.

It’s refreshing when something actually does what its says it will do “on the tin” so to speak and “Marketing With Alex” managed to exceed my expectations.

Some of my thoughts…..

    Mike,

Great post, and yep Marketing with Alex was great. Love all the
    tips on your audio/video too.

Outsourcing… Now that’s something I got to do a bit more.

    Thanks for reminding me.

    Speak soon,

    Rob

  4. Ray says:

Hi Mike, I don’t know much about ‘Marketing with Alex’, could it be compared it to John Thornhill’ Masterclass course?

    I liked your video!

    Regards, Ray

    Hi Mike

I agree with you about outsourcing.

I think the challenge for many people starting out on the Internet is they are led to believe that they can “make money overnight” and don’t realise how much work is needed for the basics.

And of course, as your business grows there is more and more work needed to be done.

A great example of someone who recognised that IM is a business and should be treated as one, including outsourcing and staff is Lee McIntyre.

He’s a great source of information on that topic!

In answer to Ray’s query: “a different approach” but two down to earth guys who tell it as it is!

    Take care

    John

    Hi Jacinta
    Nice to hear from you.
I used some video clips I had and recorded voice over that. Wish that was my cash though!!
    Best wishes

    Hi John
No one gets it right all the time, its walking the talk that pays off…..!
Now I must remember to follow my own advice.
    Regards
    Mike

  9. Mike says:

    Hi Ray
Alex is different in that he takes a more direct approach via webinar. John’s (as you know) is very driven by video and structured around that.

    Hi Mike,

I too really enjoyed the Alex Jeffreys training course, there was so much valuable advice, which seems so obvious when its pointed out.

    Essentially;
    - having a plan of action and sticking to it.
    - setting goals
    - identifying priority tasks
    - outsourcing things you can’t do

    Thanks for the post,
    Keep in touch
    John

    Hi Mike-

As a new student to Alex, It was good to hear your rap on your experience. I am on the 3rd reiteration of this course, so there are no live calls.

I am able to replay the videos though, which is great.
